Spring Cleaning Your Rental Unit
It's time to Spring Clean your apartment!
Follow these 6 simple steps to get a jump start on your Spring Cleaning:
Dishwasher Deep Cleaning Place some baking soda on a damp sponge and wipe around the edges of your dishwasher weekly to clean away food residue. For the inside, use a disinfecting dishwasher cleaner. Adding 1/4 cup of bleach to your dishwasher before you start the cycle can kill bacteria; allow the rinse cycle to fully complete prior to using the dishes.
Wash Your Windows Top Tip: Do this chore on a cloudy day. Sunshine causes streaks, as the windows will dry too quickly. Brush exterior surface to remove dirt. Vacuum the interior area with a brush attachment. Use a sponge to wet the glass with cleaning solution and scrub the entire surface. Squeegee the window. Repeat. Use a clean, dry cloth to touch up the edges and any drips. Clean and dry the frame.
Give that Mattress a Flip It's something you should do every season. You'll get more use out of it and you'll sleep better.
Clean up your computer. Recent studies have shown that keyboards can be as dirty, if not dirtier, than your toilet seat. This is because you never clean your keyboard. So, right now, go get some disinfectant wipes and compressed air, shake your keyboard out, wipe it down, and air blast all the food crumbs away. Because right now you’re pretty much clutching a tiny toilet rim.
Dig into grimy grout. Stained spaces between your tile are a serious eyesore. To fix that up quick, mix 3/4 cup household chlorine bleach with 1-gallon water. Wear rubber gloves and eye protection. Use a stiff brush to apply to one small area at a time. Be careful not to let the liquid spatter.
Banish microwave gunk. Enough with the tomato sauce stains — this trick will make cleaning 'em up easier: Place a 4-cup large microwave-safe bowl with 1 cup of water and a chopped-up lemon, lime, or orange or several tablespoons of vinegar inside. Turn the appliance on high for several minutes or until the solution boils and the window is steamy, then let it sit to cool for 15 minutes before opening the door. Remove and wipe out the inside and outside with a sponge.
Coming Soon - Lawn Care
We are quickly approaching Lawn Care season. Single-family home rentals are required by lease to maintain their yards and outdoor areas, please be sure that you are ready to do so (mow, weed whack, etc.)
Borough code enforcement strictly enforces lawn maintenance codes and will issue fines and notices to those that don't maintain their properties.
If you need someone to cut your grass, we can give you names of grass cutters we use, but you will be required to pay them directly.
